How it works

Calculate target heart rate using the Karvonen (heart rate reserve) method.

Who it's for: Endurance athletes setting training intensity by heart rate zones.

Target HR = HRrest + (HRmax − HRrest) × intensity.

HRmax estimated as 220 − age.

Also shows zone range for 60–70% intensity.
