How it works

Calculates a restaurant tip from the bill amount and shows the total check, optionally split between diners.

Who it's for: Anyone dining out in the US who wants a quick answer for 15–25% tipping norms and splitting the bill evenly.

Multiplies the bill by your chosen tip percentage to get the tip in dollars.

Adds tip to the bill for Total with tip.

When Split between is greater than 1, shows Per person for an even split of the full check including tip.

Enter Bill amount — the pre-tax subtotal on your check (before sales tax if shown separately).
Select Tip — common US norms are 18–20% for standard service and 22–25% for excellent service.
Set Split between to the number of people sharing the bill (use 1 if paying alone).

If splitting, use Per person so everyone pays the same share.
